 Lily Silver's Christmas Stories

I have three Christmas Stories published to date. They are in singles form, or in a handy boxed set. The three stories feature three very different women at the same house party. It takes place in the West Indies--a Tropical Christmas Experience--in 1798. It is the Colonial period in history. Three women from differing backgrounds experience Christmas and the magic of the season in a new way in each story.

Book One: Christmas at Ravencrest, features an English Bride recently arrived in the Indies who is struggling to create her very first Christmas party as a married woman in a strange land. As with all holidays spent with family, there is always plenty of drama. Elizabeth will try to make everyone happy, can will she succeed as a new bride in a strange land? This is a short story. Christmas at Ravencrest on Amazon

Book Two: The Widow's Christmas Wish, features a widow from America visiting her adult son at Christmastime. As we all know, Christmas with relatives can be sweet or sour. Alicia's had the sour from her troublesome son for some years now, yet as a mother she endures. This time, she may be surprised by the changes in her childhood home. The Widow's Christmas Wish is just .99 cents during this Christmas Romance Event. It is a full length romance with adult situations and plenty of sizzle.  Widow's Christmas Wish on Amazon

Book Three: A Christmas Kiss, features a single working woman, a paid companion with a multicultural background who has never experienced an English Christmas before. Chloe has a secret beau she's trying to entice out of hiding. She hopes to get him to declare his affections for her publicly at the first annual Ravencrest Christmas Ball. When her mistress tells her of a plant called mistletoe that is supposed to entice lovers to kiss at Christmas, Chloe decides to imbue her own Christmas kissing ball with a little extra Voodoo Magic.  A meddling old wizard claiming to be a descendant of St. Nicholas causes Chloe's plan to go awry. This is a short story. A Christmas Kiss on Amazon

Note: All three of these stories are also available in a box set, A Dark Hero Christmas Trilogy.  Click on the book cover in the upper left hand corner to get a peek at the Box Set Edition. It's currently on sale this month for $2 off.

Hooray for Christmas Pudding!

 What's coming up Next:

As a historian and historical romance author I have been researching Christmas traditions, particularly food traditions, for a very long time. I am planning to share some of the recipes I've found for authentic Christmas foods from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as a few special secrets from my own family kitchens.   In the coming weeks, I'll share some lovely recipes and traditions with you that might surprise you. We think of the Georgians (18th Century English folk) as being rather somber and stiff at Christmas, but nothing could be further from the truth. They did celebrate, and celebrated well!
